The Shofar Blast: a Call to the Soul

We’ll focus the study session on the parable of the Shofar, told by the great Hassidic teacher, the Ba’al Shem Tov. The very unique mystical story explains the meaning of the Shofar, the symbol of the upcoming High Holiday season, through a message of comfort and deep challenge that’s relevant to each and every person. Time allowing, we’ll compare it to a parallel story about the shofar from another Hassidic teacher, Rabbi Levi Yitzhak of Berditchev.
