Tashlich of Temporal Sand Art
Tashlich traditionally involves the casting of bread or stones into a natural body of water in a participatory, communal ceremony. Through this act, each participant distances herself or himself from past sins and harmful patterns, for the sake of a fresh start to the new year. This year for Tashlich at Beit Tikvah, we will create a temporal group art piece using natural sand and stones. The experience will encourage personal reflection, contemplation, and renewal. No artistic skill or experience is required.
