Was Sarah a Priestess?
In our weekly Torah portion, Lech Lecha, we focus on the stories of Abraham and Sarah. While the Torah tells us a great deal about Sarah’s role in Abraham’s clan, it tells us little about her background. We will explore the scholarly theory that she was, in fact, a pagan priestess. What were her influences? What sort of power did she wield? How can she inspire us to draw strength and inspiration from unlikely sources?
