7:00 pm Juneteenth Service led by Maria Markham Thompson
Join us for a special service celebrating Juneteenth, the national holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth marks the date (June 19, 1865) following the end of the Civil War – and more than two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued – when the last enslaved people in Texas learned of their freedom.
