7:00 pm Juneteenth Service led by Maria Markham Thompson
Join us for a special Shabbat service celebrating Juneteenth, the national holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth marks the date (June 19, 1865) following the end of the Civil War – and more than two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued – when the last enslaved people in Texas learned of their freedom.
Kiddush will follow the service.
