SUMMARY:Final Beit Tikvah Service
DESCRIPTION:This will be Beit Tikvah’s final service\, as we are dissolving the congregation on May 31\, 2026 after 40 years of serving the Greater Baltimore Jewish community. \n  \n10:00 am Cantor Linda Baer will lead our final service \nWe join together in a Celebration of the Life of Congregation Beit Tikvah over the last 40 years. We invite any of you who have been a part of the congregation in the past\, to return on this date to share positive reflections of the impact this community has had on your life or your family. \nPerhaps it was a place where your mixed family felt comfortable worshipping\, or a place where your children could feel free to explore choices in gender identification\, or same sex relationships. \nOr maybe it was a place where you were accepted as a Jew if you had a non-traditional definition of G-d or weren’t sure how you defined your belief. \nMaybe you didn’t want to be judged for how you dressed or where you lived. \nTimes have changed now\, but in 1986 these were novel ideas for the Baltimore Jewish community. Come together and reflect on how this relationship affected your growth into who you have become today. \nOn May 16th we remember the 15th yahrzeit of member Dr. Seymour Linder. He always appreciated the kindness of the people at Beit Tikvah\, in addition to their exceptional cooking skills! \nToday is also “Wear Purple for Peace Day.” \nPlease RSVP to info@beittikvah.org by Sunday\, May 10\, as there will be a Kiddush luncheon following the service.
