The Purim – Yom Kippur Connection
The upcoming raucous, carnivalesque festival of Purim is said to be similar to Yom Kippur, the most somber holiday of the Jewish year. So says an ancient but persistent thread of Jewish commentary. We’ll discuss its relevance for society today, within and beyond the Jewish community.
Please bring a vegetarian or dairy dish to share at the Kiddush.
