Shabbat Morning Service and Study: Joseph & the Technicolor Family Heirloom

Join us for Shabbat morning services led by Rabbi Doug Heifetz followed by: Joseph & the Technicolor Family Heirloom, a Study Session with Hands-On Crafting: Let’s study the Joseph story from this season’s weekly Torah readings, focusing especially on the nature of the special gift which Joseph received from his father, Jacob. The topics of gifts, inheritance and family heirlooms will lead us into a crafting project. Bring spoons to create your own heirloom gifts. If the spoon is connected to your family history, be ready and willing to craft it into a new shape. Otherwise,spoons will be available. Rabbi Doug will draw on his experience as a silversmith, specializing in silverware jewelry, imaginative reuse and transformation. .
