One of the central elements of the Passover story is the crossing of the Sea of Reeds. As our Israelite ancestors left behind their lives of slavery in Egypt\, they arrived at the shore of the Sea of Reeds\, an inlet of the Red Sea. Pharoah’s mighty army pursued them as they arrived. They managed to cross over miraculously. However\, the Torah gives us a number of mysterious details about the episode that each reveal multiple interpretations.
