Kabbalat Shabbat Service with Rabbi Doug Heifetz (virtual service)

November 13, 2020 - 7:30pm - November 13, 2020 - 8:30pm

7:30 pm  Kabbalat Shabbat Service with Rabbi Doug Heifetz

Staying Power – Isaac was the least charismatic and adventurous of our forefathers. He lived a relatively quiet family life and stayed in Canaan all his years. The other two forefathers, Abraham and Jacob, by contrast, lived much more outwardly adventurous lives. They amassed followers and traveled far and near. While Abraham and Jacob often “get the glory” and recognition, much is to be learned from Isaac’s example. What are the successes and strengths that develop while staying put? How can we draw upon Isaac’s example while we ‘stay put’ more than ever during this pandemic?
